“Choose Your Adventure with the Nevada State Parks Pass!”

Have you ever wanted to visit one of Nevada’s 27 State Parks? Now is your chance to choose your own adventure, with the Clark County Library District’s State Park Pass!

According to CCLD, this pass covers the day-use entry fee for one passenger vehicle and up to eight passengers. Valid at all 27 state parks, library-card holders can check out a pass for free for a seven-day period from their local library.

Please note that this pass does not cover additional fees, including those for boating, camping, or other specific fees including special programs or tours. Entry is also subject to available space in the park at the time of visiting. Moreover, this does not grant entry into federal, regional, or other public lands in Nevada that are not part [of] the Nevada State Park system.

According to NSP, this program “is funded by the Nevada State Parks Gift Shop Grant Program, which allocates the proceeds from all Nevada State Parks Gift Shop sales to educational and interpretive programs in Nevada’s State Parks.”

On NSP’s Library Pass page, they state that the program’s goal is “To make Nevada’s State Parks as accessible as possible by providing an opportunity for all populations to access and experience a state park at no cost.”

With this intention, the State Park Pass program is an amazing way to encourage people to visit Nevada’s public lands. And due to the pandemic’s impacts on outdoor recreation – a vital part of our state’s economy – increasing the visitorship of our public lands helps them thrive. This program launched in January 2023.
