TIABI Coffee and Waffle Partners with The Burn Foundation for Annual Waffle Eating Contest

This Friday, TIABI Coffee and Waffle celebrates International Waffle Day for a great cause! Partnering with The Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation, TIABI is holding their Waffle For a Cause event.

This annual waffle eating contest began five years ago and evolved into the Waffle For A Cause fundraiser that helps raise funds and awareness for local charities.

Comparatively, 39 waffles in total were eaten last year, with The CCSDPD K-9 unit breaking the record by consuming seven-and-a-half waffles.

TIABI’s will donate $10 to the Burn Foundation for every waffle eaten by the volunteer firefighters competing to eat the most waffles within five minutes. The contest begins at 9 a.m. at the Maryland Parkway location.

The Burn Foundation

The Burn Foundation, an organization of active fire department personnel, is raising funds for their “After the Fire is Out” initiative through the contest. This initiative works to help families and burn victims that have been through a catastrophic event.

When firefighters anywhere in the valley meet a burn victim or family in need of support, they contact a representative of the Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation to assist.

Waffle For a Cause! – TIABI’s Dedication to the Community

Through the 25th, order the Red Velvet Tiff’s – a cinnamon vanilla macchiato with a red velvet waffle on top – to help support The Burn Foundation.

“This event is celebrating two things we are extremely passionate about; our community and our waffles,” Tiffany Biscoe, owner and creator of TIABI Coffee and Waffle, stated in the press release for the event. “We want to have fun while showing our appreciation with this waffle eating competition.”

According to the press release, the community can take part by visiting TIABI Coffee and Waffle the week of International Waffle Day and ordering the Red Velvet Tiff’s, a cinnamon vanilla macchiato with a red velvet waffle on top.

TIABI will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Burn Foundation’s cause. This featured menu item is available at both the Maryland Parkway and Rainbow TIABI locations until March 25, so get yours today!
