Fifth Sun Project Fundraiser
Showing some love to local DREAMers, local community organization Fifth Sun Project is serving a vegan-style Italian lunch meal this Sunday. This Valentine’s Day food sale marks their first event benefiting this project, raising money to cover DACA fees.
“Come by and have a lunch date with us or take it to go and surprise your lover or friend. We’ll have plates of vegan baked pasta and garlic or pesto bread,” FSP shared on their Instagram.
The meals cost $15 and include baked pasta, garlic or pesto bread, almond atole, and flan for dessert. Polvorone cookies will also be available for $15 a dozen or $8 for a half dozen.
You can pay before to secure your order from Fifth Sun Project’s Venmo, PayPal, and CashApp.
The almond atole and personal flan are provided by @vegan_4all.
Get your plate downtown at the old skool boxing gym – Johnny Toccos – from 1-4 p.m. on Valentine’s Day. Those attending must wear masks when not eating.
“Show up for some bomb food and support the cause, help community members claim their rightful “legal status”, because no one should be illegal on stolen land,” FSP said.
Please let Fifth Sun Project know by Saturday if you plan to come down, so they know how much food to make and how many people to expect. Direct message them to RSVP or to ask any questions.
FSP also invited local artists they’ve previously worked with to participate.
“Sell your art for last-minute V–Day gifts, with a portion of proceeds to benefit the DACA fundraiser. Send us a DM if interested!”
Donate directly to FSP’s DACA fundraiser through their GoFundMe campaign. FSP also accepts donations through Cash App, Venmo, and Pay Pal for all of their community outreach programs.
All of FSP’s other links are available through their LinkTree.
Fifth Sun Project ended their post by saying, “Thank y’all for always helping us help the community. ✊”
