Combining style, taste, and coffee, Cafe Lola lets you have your coffee and drink it, too! With a wide variety of beverage options and an extensive food menu, this local cafe offers satisfying sips and exquisite eats.

Opening the Vegas-based shop in 2018, founders Alexandra Lourdes and Lin Smith Jerome have since expanded their business across the valley. In addition to Cafe Lola, they also serve a diverse food palette and run different shops for coffee, donuts, pizza, and fried chicken. Jerome and Lourdes see no reason to sacrifice quality in looks for quality in flavor and offer a unique and chic menu for all to enjoy.

Creating Cafe Lola

Jerome and Lourdes met while studying at UNLV. Though not born and raised in Vegas, they both created a strong foundation through their education, business, and family. Jerome and Lourdes seemed destined for different paths. Jerome studied and graduated with a law degree, while Lourdes graduated with a PhD in education. Together, they founded the Refined Agency, which primarily worked with interactive marketing.

Most of their work occurred inside coffee shops, where they became inspired to add a little more magic to everyone’s morning coffee. They thought a hole was missing in the heart of these shops, and it needed to be filled. Lourdes and Jerome’s husbands both came from restaurant backgrounds, so when they told them their idea, they left their restaurants to launch Cafe Lola.

From the beginning, Lourdes and Jerome knew they wanted their shop to accommodate any event, person, or diet. As a result, Cafe Lola creates a variety of coffees, teas, and pastries that are dairy-free, gluten-free, or vegan.

In an Instagram Post, Lourdes stated, “The more I learn about ingredients [and] the importance of quality – the more I change things at our cafe to make it easily accessible for everyone because EVERYONE deserves to enjoy a quality latte that doesn’t have a ton of horrible ingredients.”

One manager, Barbara Torres, explained that everyone should be able to enjoy the options offered without having to sacrifice style or flavor from their experience.

I Love You a Latte

National Coffee Day special – available September 29

Cafe Lola offers many different coffee, tea, and matcha beverages, including Lourdes and Jerome’s favorite drinks. Jerome favors matcha to coffee and named her drink ‘Lin’s Matcha.’ This drink includes matcha, vanilla syrup, and oat milk; she prefers to drink it cold. A true coffee gal, Lourdes named her drink ‘Alex’s Coffee,’ made with agave, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and coconut cashew milk.

The most popular coffee, by far, is the 24K Creme Brulee Latte. A true fan-favorite, espresso, vanilla, caramel, and a sprinkle of 24K golden flakes make this drink a sweet and tasty hit! If you prefer a nice tea, their signature Vanilla Rose Latte, served with a rose macaron, ticks all the boxes.

In addition, visit the cafe after 1 PM for a spot of ‘Afternoon Tea,’ which serves one pot of tea and a chef’s selection of assorted tea pastries. The cafe also serves cocktails, wine, mimosas, and more.

While enjoyable any day of the week, enjoy these drinks with a special deal on September 29 for National Coffee Day!

Returning to where it all began, the first Cafe Lola in Summerlin partnered with another woman-owned business to offer the ‘Sip & Bloom’ special. Any latte ordered on September 29 will come with a small bouquet from F&F Flowers. You can also upgrade your coffee cup to a featured tumbler, with pre-sales available now at BossBabesTumblr.

Events and Parties

Charcuterie set up by Cafe Lola

Cafe Lola’s chic and delicious menu serves any occasion, but why not celebrate something special too? Cafe Lola also hosts elegant tea parties, weddings, baby showers, and more! Their team dedicates their time and creativity to creating the space needed for any event. Torres says, “Café Lola has become a true staple in the community because we’re not just serving coffee and pastries—we’re creating an experience.”

These events include food, drinks, decor, and the best charcuterie boards imaginable. For special events, Saint Honore makes custom donuts by request that match your theme and flavor of choice for everyone to eat and, of course, take pictures!

The most popular and regularly scheduled event, by far, is the Princess Tea Parties. Once or twice a month, a new princess visits the shop to host a tea party with friends. Moms enjoy a delicious cup of tea while their children hang out with Princess Tiana, Aurora, Cinderella, and more.

Everyone enjoys the delicious finger sandwiches carefully prepared by the staff, and the children are mesmerized by the color-changing mermaid tea! The princess may sing her signature song with the other kids or dance around and get all their energy out. This event is a customer favorite, so if you want to go, reserve a spot for you and your child/ren on their site!

Expanding Their Businesses

Since Cafe Lola opened in 2018, Jerome and Lourdes opened many more stores. There are now five locations across Vegas, the newest one opening inside Allegiant Stadium.

In addition, Lourdes and Jerome opened new restaurants acting as sister companies to Cafe Lola. These include Saint Honore Doughnuts and Beignets, with two locations; Pizza Anonymous, the secret pizza shop hidden inside Saint Honore’s Summerlin location; and 3 Little Chicks, named after Lourdes and Jerome’s three daughters, which opened less than a year ago.

Keeping in line with the alternative food options at Cafe Lola, 3 Little Chicks cooks their fried chicken with quinoa flour, making it gluten-free and healthy. Pizza Anonymous also offers gluten-free crusts and vegan pizza options. Some pastry options inside Cafe Lola come straight from Saint Honore’s daily fresh-baked doughnuts.

On rare occasions, when there are leftover doughnuts, Lourdes boxes up as many as possible and brings them to local organizations or people in need. Each restaurant works together to maintain stylish, delicious, and versatile options for everyone in the Vegas Valley. Their work in the community showcases both Jerome and Dr. Lourdes’ character and inclusivity.
