In the mid-1970s, a Quiet Storm, a radio format that primarily focused on R&B music, mostly of a slow, romantic flavor, was brewing. Inspired by the Smokey Robinson song, “Quiet Storm,” it is also the title of the new book by author Amani Roberts.
